Backup

Everything is stored privately on this device. Save a backup file now and then, and use it to move your budget to another phone or computer.

How Gilded Budget works

  1. Safe to Spend is your money in your accounts, minus the bills due before payday, minus this paycheck's savings and your safety buffer. Tap "See how it's calculated" anytime.
  2. Log in 3 seconds. Tap the gold + , type the amount, pick a category. Use favorites for things you buy often.
  3. Missed a few days? No guilt. Tap "Check my money", type your real balance, and you're back on track.
  4. Bills: add each one once. Tap "Paid" when it leaves your account and it moves to the next due date.
  5. Tempted? Use "Can this fit?" before you buy, or put it on the 48-hour Pause list.
  6. Goals: watch your savings turn into gold coins. Debts: compare Snowball and Avalanche.
  7. Add it to your home screen. iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: menu ⋮ → Add to Home screen.
  8. Keep a backup. Settings → Save backup file. Use Restore on a new device.

Your data is saved privately in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data or private browsing can erase it, so keep a backup. This app is an organization tool, not financial advice.
